For example, in the &#8220;Why I Write&#8221; article I used the word &#8220;quite&#8221; 3 times in a few sentences and I forced myself to hit &#8220;Publish&#8221; rather than going back to wordsmith it &#8230; because &#8220;shipping is a feature&#8221;.  An article published is better than one in a sockdrawer, even if it is only published to a blog.<\/p>\n<p>But even I have my limits.  When I was reading over the article again and realized that I consistently spelled Allen Ginsberg as Alan Ginsburg, even though I copyedited it and checked it against the Wikipedia article, I found I had to go back and fix the article.<\/p>\n<p>And I also fixed the &#8220;quites&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Oh well.  I suppose that no matter how much you try to make yourself commit to publishing over polishing, there&#8217;s some amount of polish that must be done &#8230; sooner or later, published or not.
