{"id":242,"date":"2008-05-07T21:57:00","date_gmt":"2008-05-07T21:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dresan.com\/blog\/?p=242"},"modified":"2008-05-07T21:57:00","modified_gmt":"2008-05-07T21:57:00","slug":"extra-spaces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dresan.com\/blog\/2008\/05\/07\/extra-spaces\/","title":{"rendered":"Extra Spaces"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.qumana.com\/\">Qumana<\/a> is a great blog post editor, but it has an interesting property that makes its posts appear weird on my web site.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>If you hit return, it wraps the whole paragraph in a HTML &quot;p&quot; tag <\/p>\n<p>like so<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p>Which is nice, in theory it&#8217;s how you&#8217;re supposed to use the &quot;p&quot; tag, but &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>It puts huge spaces between paragraphs in my blog.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not sure why this is happening.\u00a0 Some CSS error in my stylesheet?\u00a0 Some translation &#8230; WHOA!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>I just did &quot;view source&quot; on the published blog, and found extra <br \/> tags after each paragraph in the published blog!\u00a0 So THAT&#8217;s what is happening&#8230; now, of course, the question is WHY, since they don&#8217;t show up on Qumana&#8217;s Source View.<br \/>Here&#8217;s seeing if switching from &quot;Enter Starts A New Paragraph&quot; to &quot;Enter Starts A New Line&quot; does the trick.<br \/>9:56pm hit return.<br \/>-the Centaur<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Qumana is a great blog post editor, but it has an interesting property that makes its posts appear weird on my web site.
