{"id":269,"date":"2007-06-13T10:54:00","date_gmt":"2007-06-13T10:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dresan.com\/blog\/?p=269"},"modified":"2007-06-13T10:54:00","modified_gmt":"2007-06-13T10:54:00","slug":"almost-certainly-magdalene-veen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dresan.com\/blog\/2007\/06\/13\/almost-certainly-magdalene-veen\/","title":{"rendered":"Almost Certainly Magdalene Veen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>About a year or so ago, I was doing some art practice for the next issue of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fanufiku.com\/\">fanu fiku<\/a> and found, downloaded and printed a whole bunch of images of people, clothing, and events that reminded me of fanu fiku&#8217;s central character, Xiao Dreamweaver.<\/p>\n<p>After a few months of scribbling, one of those practice drawings finally turned out quite well in my narcissistic little eyes: a woman with goggles in an image I found off <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Warren_Ellis\">Warren Ellis<\/a>&#8216; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.warrenellis.com\/\">web site<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dresan.com\/images\/goggles-large.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dresan.com\/images\/goggles-small.png\" width=\"600\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since the original picture was off someone&#8217;s personal site filled with other similar pictures, in a fit of hubris I decided to send it to the woman and\/or photographer who&#8217;d put it up in case they wanted it.
