As chief cat wrangler for all three of the Later anthologies, I had to coordinate deadlines and revisions for not just the fifteen or so authors, but also our publisher\u2019s staff. Why do I do it? The power, obviously. But in all seriousness, it\u2019s the satisfaction of being an integral part of a fantastic collection of stories.<\/p>\n<p><em>Q: What was your favorite story to edit\/write for the anthologies?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-605\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sageandsavant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/BJ-Sikes-2-225x300.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sageandsavant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/BJ-Sikes-2-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.sageandsavant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/BJ-Sikes-2-768x1024.jpg 768w\" alt=\"BJ Sikes\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/>BJS: That\u2019s a tough one. There are so many great stories and they vary so much in theme, style, and content. I had a great time writing my own stories, especially the first one in <em>Some Time Later<\/em>, \u201cThe Descent.\u201d That one allowed me to get my mycological geek on.
