It appears that when my hosting provider said I had &#8220;15 gigabytes free&#8221; what they actually meant was &#8220;0 bytes free&#8221;. So I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to fix permissions on the directories when the real problem was that I was out of disk space (which causes the same error). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I already knew I needed to change hosting providers.
